What is the Captions feature?
Captions allow you to add text to a photo on an Aura frame, which will be displayed on the screen when the photo appears. You can include text and emojis, and edit the caption at any time.
Who can add a caption?
Any frame member using an iOS device can add, edit, or remove a caption. Captions can be displayed on Aura Frame models with a touch bar.
How to Add, Edit, or Remove a Caption
-
To add a caption:
- Open the Aura app on an iOS device.
- Click on any photo in the "Photos" tab.
- Tap the caption section below the image and enter up to 250 characters (including spaces and emojis).
-
Tap "Save".
Note: This feature also works for video clips.
-
To edit or remove a caption:
- Click on the photo again.
- Tap the caption to edit the text or select "Clear" to remove it.
- If editing, click "Save" to update the caption. If clearing, the caption will be permanently removed.
When will the caption appear on the frame?
The caption will be displayed the next time the photo appears on the frame. If you want to see the caption sooner, you can use "Show Now" to force the photo to display on the frame.
Can I change the font style, size, or color?
At this time, font customization options—such as color, size, or font type—are not available. Captions will appear in a clear, standard format for easy readability.
Why can't I see the caption feature on my Android device?
Currently, the Captions feature is only available on iOS, but we’re always working on new updates—stay tuned!
