After you've set up your Aura frame you'll land on the Aura app home screen. Below we've provided some helpful hints to assist you when first learning how to use the Aura app.
1. The "Settings" Icon
Access your Settings by clicking on the small gear wheel in the top left of the Aura app home screen. This is where you can view your account details, and also edit the name and email address associated with your Aura account.
You will also see a list of frames that your account is associated with. For example: You own a frame in your NYC living room and contribute photos to your grandmother's frame in Florida - both frames will appear here!
If you scroll down, you'll see a list of Sources associated with your account. If you've logged into your Aura Account on your iPhone and iPad, both sources will be listed here. You can remove any of these sources to also remove all of the photos associated with that source.
Finally, at the bottom of the Settings screen you'll see the option to "Log Out" of your Aura account. Click the arrow in the top left to navigate back to the app home screen.
2. The "Your Photos" Tab
To the right of the Settings icon there is a tab titled Your Photos. This is where you can access all of your photos.
Please note: Only you have access to Your Photos in the Aura app and no one else can view or access your personal photo library.
The first section is titled Photos. Here you can view your entire photo library that has been copied into the Aura app from your device. Select individual photos and easily add them to one or more frames at once. Remember to tap Save in the top right corner to save your photo selection.
The second section is titled Albums. Here you can view your albums that have been copied into the Aura app from your device. If you're an iOS user you'll be able to access your Favorites album and any shared iCloud albums. You can select individual photos or add an entire album to your frame.
The third section is titled Smart Albums. This is where Aura uses special facial recognition technology to organize photos into their own collections. You'll notice the people you take photos of most often have an album dedicated to them! You can use these albums to locate specific photos of a person to easily add it to a frame, or you can choose to "Add All" so every photo of that person that passes Aura's quality filters will be added to your frame.
Tip: Select "Add All" for your children's' faces and never miss a moment!
The fourth section is Google Photos. This is where you can sign into your Google account to integrate Google Photos. This way, any photos you have stored with Google can be accessed in the Aura app and added to your frame. If you don't use Google Photos, simply ignore this section.
3. The "Frames" Tab
To the right of the Your Photos tab is a second tab titled Frames. This is where you can view the Aura frames that you are part of. Some users may only own or contribute to one frame and others may own or contribute to five frames or more!
This is where you can access the photos that have been selected for an Aura frame, add new members, and change the frame's settings.
4. Your Aura "Inbox"
In the top right of the Aura app home screen you'll notice an icon that looks like a message bubble. Tap here to see any updates, accept invitations, or view Aura's photo suggestions for your frame.
5. Frame Controller
At the bottom of the Aura app home screen you'll see the frame controller. This is where you can view the photo that is currently displayed on the frame. Tap the < button to view the previous photo or > to advance the photo. The frame controller is a great way to see which photo a family member is currently enjoying, even if they're far away!
We hope this helps you navigate the Aura app home screen. If you require further assistance please don't hesitate to contact Aura's Customer Support by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 646-630-7237.
