Preparing a frame via the Gift Setup Code is one of the options that Aura offers our customers. To do this, you will need to scan the Gift Setup Code on the outside packaging to upload your photos without unboxing the frame or connecting it. This article explains this further.
| Note: the Gift Setup code can only be used once and will expire the moment that the frame is unboxed and connected to power or when you had already started the gift setup from within our Auraframes.com check-out card or "Giving Aura as a Gift" email. |
If you try to scan the code twice, or if you try to scan the code after you have already connected the frame to a power source, you may receive the error "This Gift Setup code has already been used or is invalid".
However, you can still prepare the frame as a gift if you follow these instructions:
- When setting up the new frame, select that it is for "Someone else"
- In the next step, select “Generate a virtual code"
