What is the AI birthday song?
When you make a birthday gift in the Aura app, you can add a song written and sung just for the birthday person. You share a few fun details about them, pick a style (Pop, K-pop, Pop-rock, Country, Hip-hop, Funk, Choir, or Folk), and the song is written and sung by AI. You hear the song before it's added, and you can try again if it isn't right. The song plays once at the start of the gift video, then the beat keeps going until the video ends. This is a test, so it's available to some iPhone gift creators right now and may not appear for everyone.
What information does Aura use to make the song?
Only the birthday person's first name and the details you type in. We don't use your photos, account information, or any other personal details. If you add a pronunciation to help the singer get the name right, that's used too. The lyrics are generated using Anthropic's API and the song is generated using ElevenLabs API. The details you write are checked before the song is made, and anything hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or insulting to the birthday person is declined, so you may see "Some of those details can't go in a song. Try rewording them."
Who can add or change the song?
Only the person who created the gift can make a song or add it to the gift. Contributors can add photos, videos, and messages but can't add or change the song.
Can I remove the song?
Yes. The gift creator can remove the song from the gift in the editor, and the video goes back to the regular background music. Once the gift has been delivered, the video is already made, so contact Aura Customer Care if you need a delivered gift changed.
