If you have received a notification that your photos have received some love, this is due to one of the below scenarios:
1) An invited frame contributor liked your photo upload activity
Whenever an invited frame member uploads photos, other invited members can add a comment or an emotion from within their app's activity feed. This is explained in this FAQ: Sharing Photo Reactions and Comments with other Frame Contributors.
In this scenario, the notification will include the frame member's name so you can easily identify that person. |
2) The photo was liked via the frame's physical Touch Bar
As explained in this FAQ (Using The Touch Bar Controls), the physical owner of the frame can simply tap the Touch Bar on top of their frame to like the photo or video that is currently being displayed. The person who had uploaded the photo will now receive a notification.
In this scenario, the notification will NOT include a frame member's name since it was triggered via the frame's Touch Bar (not the Aura app). |
If you can rule out that anybody deliberately touched the Touch Bar, it is possible that the notifications were triggered by:
-
- Somebody accidentally touching the Touch Bar on top of the frame (e.g cleaning it) or children and even pets triggering it
- A defective Touch Bar that is sending unrequested "love" notifications
- Somebody accidentally touching the Touch Bar on top of the frame (e.g cleaning it) or children and even pets triggering it
Since the love notifications are not immediately sent but collated (to avoid you getting flooded by thousands of individual notifications), they can arrive later in the day, or even at night, when nobody recently requested them. If you - or another frame member - want to disable these notifications, you can of course turn them off in your smart device settings: Managing the Aura Frames app notifications. |
