The Aura app will automatically position your photos to ensure they are displayed on your frame in the best possible way, taking into consideration the frame's orientation (portrait vs landscape) and the photo's composition (displaying the faces will be prioritized).
Position - manually changing how your photo is centered in the frame
Note: Aura will intelligently center your photos in the frame, in either the portrait or landscape position. However, if you do see a photo on the frame that you want to manually position, please follow the below steps |
Tap on the individual photo with the "Photos" section of your Aura Frames and then tap "Position":
-
Use your fingers to pan around the photo to adjust the area you want to display.
-
Zoom in on an area of the photo or zoom out to show a photo in its entirety. If you're choosing to zoom out on the photo, pinch the photo until it's your desired size and black bars appear on either side of the image.
-
You also have the ability to ROTATE the photo if it's in the wrong orientation
- Note: only the Carver/Buddy/Gallerie models also allow you to tap on the below-displayed rectangle to automatically change from portrait to landscape mode
-
IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the photo adjustment, please tap SAVE.
Note: Once an image is cropped in the app, the photo in the app will show the full version since all frame members can see all photos shared with the frame. You can use Show Now to see the cropped version on the physical frame. When viewing the remote control in the app, it also shows the cropped version. |
Carver model only: Since this model is a landscape-only frame, you will be offered an option to automatically convert the photo to portrait mode (4:5) or landscape mode (16:10) .
Note: You are also able to select your preferred background option under settings in the Aura application. Photos will be displayed in the center of your frame with either a black background or a filled background.
