If you want to remove a frame from your Aura App there are two ways of doing it and you should ensure that you choose the right option:
- You only remove yourselfand the frame remains in existence and visible to any other members that may be invited to it. At that point, the frame will no longer be listed in your Aura app.
- You remove yourselfand all other frame members, thus removing the frame from your app and resetting it to factory settings. At that point, the frame will no longer be listed in any frame member's app.
1) Removing the frame from your app without factory reset
Follow these steps if you wish to leave a frame while keeping it available to other frame members that had been invited to it. Once you have completed the steps, you will no longer see the frame in your Aura Frames app and your previosly uploaded photos will be removed from it. Any other frame members can still see and enjoy the frame in their app.
- Open the Aura app to the Home Screen
- Tap on the "A" in the top left corner
- Tap on the name of the frame that you want to delete
- Tap the settings wheel in the top right corner of your screen and then tap on "Add Members"
- Find and tap on your own account
- Then, tap on the ". . ." icon and leave the frame. Please be aware, all your photos will be removed from this frame since your account is no longer part of it.
IMPORTANT: If you change your mind and you want to join the frame again, you will have to ask one of the remaining frame members to invite you again as explained in this FAQ.
2) Removing the frame from everybody's app with factory reset
| NOTE: This will effectively erase and reset the frame, thus removing all photos, existing frame members and frame settings. Your frame will then disappear from your app and will need to be set up as a new frame (if you still possess it) |
Please follow these steps if you wish to factory-reset the frame which means that all frame members (including yourself) and all their uploaded photos will be removed as the frame gets reset to factory settings. The frame will no longer be visible in anybody's Aura Frames app but it can be set up againas explained in this FAQ.
- Open the Aura app to the Home Screen
- Tap on the "A" in the top left corner
- Tap on the name of the frame that you want to delete
- Tap the settings wheel in the top right corner of your screen and then tap on "Add Members"
- Tap on each person's name (do your's last), and then select the icon with the three small dots in the top right corner.
- Select "Remove from Frame" and confirm "Remove"
- Repeat steps above for any additional members
- When you are the final member remaining, tap on your own name
- Again, tap the icon in the top right (three small dots) and select "Leave & Factory Reset Frame".
- From the "Are You Sure?" prompt, tap Reset. If you have the physical frame near you, you will see on the frame's screen an indication that it is "erasing" and "resetting" itself.
